Who I work with
Individuals and couples: I offer private counselling and therapy for you, or you and partner (couples therapy).
Organisations: I help organisations to support their employees who are going through a difficult time.
Private health insurance: I am a recognised therapist with the major private health insurance companies such as BUPA, AXA PPP Healthcare and AVIVA. You can access therapy or counselling through your insurance policy, if either you or your company has taken out cover for you.
Whatever support you are seeking, my therapeutic approach is around you as a person, whether we work face-to-face, on the telephone, have video calls or work online. I recognise each person has unique and differing needs.
Many of us can benefit from talking to a counsellor or therapist at some point in our lives, someone who listens without judging, who helps us express our feelings and find our own answers.
Do you want support to cope with life's unprecedented challenges?
Each of us is going through a rollercoaster of emotions during this pandemic. Everything about our day-to-day life has changed - how we work, shop, socialise and exercise.
You may be struggling with:
- Stress and heightened anxiety, uncertainty about the future
- Loss of connection to others, being separated from family, friends and colleagues
- Adjusting to working at home, either in isolation or surrounded by noise
- The impact of social distancing on relationships, either being alone or close proximity with others placing a strain on relationships
- Loss of routine, and a whole way of life
Whatever you are trying to cope with, the constant anxiety of the pandemic, worry about your health or the health of those you love, if you’ve recently been bereaved and have been unable to be with loved ones, I am here to help.
If you’re in a relationship that has been under stress, this can exacerbate difficulties in the relationship. Maybe the things you were using to cope (e.g. work, going out with friends) are no longer there.
You may be feeling alone and overwhelmed. Your plans for the year have been upturned. I can help you to reflect, manage your emotions and find helpful ways to cope and grow through the current crisis.
Individual Counselling
When you are facing personal difficulties it can be invaluable to talk to an experienced therapist or counsellor, someone who is professionally trained and qualified to help, who is not involved personally in your life and who has your best interests at heart.

Couples Counselling
Many couples facing problems in their relationship find it difficult to talk about what is troubling them. Couple therapy offers a safe space to hear each other, gain an understanding of each other's feelings and reactions and find more helpful ways of communicating.

How counselling therapy can help
I offer a safe, confidential and welcoming environment where you can explore through counselling and therapy what is troubling you at your own pace. My approach is warm, engaging and professional, inviting you to talk openly about difficult feelings and experiences.
Through working together you can gain help in facing a crisis or in dealing with a dilemma or decision. Counselling therapy can support you to move forward where previously you felt stuck, and to regain your confidence and self-esteem. You can gain a fresh perspective on your life.
The work we do together can be both rewarding and challenging with unexpected insights. Being in therapy is a way of looking after yourself, and can have a real impact when you make time and space in your life to talk and reflect.
Counselling can be thought-provoking, helping you to find a way forward, and supporting you to make the changes that are right for you.

Contact me by email
I am a very experienced, accredited person-centred counsellor and certified sensorimotor psychotherapist with more than 14 years' experience working within organisations and in private practice, and online (video and telephone consultations).
For the moment, I am not offering face-to-face sessions in Enfield or at London Bridge during this time of physical/social distancing until it is safe to meet again.
Drawing on my specialist experience of working online, I offer a different way of experiencing therapy in a safe and confidential way, using video, instant messaging and email. I will also continue to offer sessions by phone.
My experience includes: counsellor and group facilitator with mental health and disability charities, trauma therapist with a leading London-based NHS hospital, addiction therapist working with private addiction treatment centres, staff counselling for Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs), couple counselling, trauma counselling with a leading sight loss charity.
I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing life changes, such as addiction, anxiety, bereavement, depression, disability, identity issues, relationship concerns and breakdown, loss of self-esteem, sight loss, and work stress.
As a qualified sensorimotor therapist I also work with people who experience challenges as a result of trauma and/or attachment injuries.
Previously I worked in the City as a senior manager in investment banking, and have over ten years' first hand experience of the complexity, constant demands and pressures of the workplace.
Trust and confidentiality are paramount and, as an accredited registered counsellor and psychotherapist of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their ethical guidelines for good practice.
